Hard work and commitment to excellence were evident in every aspect of this traditional “Coming of Age” Ceremony; organized by Yeungnam University, ensuring that all attendees had a fulfilling and enjoyable experience. I particularly enjoyed being treated as a Korean daughter who is now growing up to become an adult, as how it expanded my knowledge regarding to the beautiful culture of Korean. I am genuinely grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of it. - Chanthida (Cambodia, SID) I would like to express my gratitude to PSPS Yeungnam University for organizing this meaningful cultural experience. That day was a memorable day for me, as wearing the traditional clothing of another country and participating in their cultural ceremony creates a unique and special feeling. Attending this "coming of age" event helped me gain a deeper understanding of Korean culture. The elderly people at the event assisted us in putting on the traditional Hanbok attire. I also learned to bow to elders as a sign of respect, which is an important custom in Korea. They also gave to each of us a Korean name based on our personalities and we tasted the traditional drinks as well. I have learnt and enjoyed a lot. - Uktam (Uzbekistan, SID) Participating in the Korean coming of age event was an enriching experience for me. It provided a wonderful opportunity to immerse myself in Korean culture and traditions. One of the highlights for me was wearing the stunning hanbok attire, which made me feel incredibly elegant and proud. Moreover, having a caring Korean mother look after me during the event added a special touch of warmth and hospitality. The cherry on top was being given a Korean name "문례", which I absolutely love. It truly made me feel a deeper connection to the culture and the people. Overall, it was a genuine and memorable experience that allowed me to appreciate the beauty of Korean customs and the kindness of its people. Additionally, I'm thankful for the chance to make Korean friends during the event, as their warmth and friendship made the experience even more meaningful. Overall, it was a fantastic opportunity provided by my school that I'll cherish for a long time. - Dorcas (Nigeria, PPL) First of all, I would like to say thank you so much Yeungnam University for holding this activity. I am very grateful because I was chosen to be one of the participants from International Students who took part in the Coming of Age Ceremony in South Korea. This is one of the new experiences in my life that I will never forget. I am very happy and enthusiastic to take part in this activity. With this activity, I can find out and learn about a new culture. In this activity I was served very well and taught about the culture of wedding preparations in South Korea. I am very interested in learning more about the culture in South Korea during my master's program. I hope that I can continue to participate in every activity organized by Yeungnam University and that I can continue to add to my experience while in South Korea. Once again, THANK YOU SO MUCH YEUNGNAM UNIVERSITY FOR CARVING A NEW STORY IN MY LIFE. 너무 감사합니다 - Miller (Indonesia, PPL) Firstly, I would like to express my gratitude for the wonderful opportunity provided by PSPS, Yeungnam University and am particularly grateful to the event organizers for selecting me to participate.
